Experience big thrills, refocus, test your limits and come back raring to go.
In Tignes, enjoy all the excitement that a stadium atmosphere provides, in
the very heart of nature!
Located in the French Alps, at the heart of the Vanoise National Park, its ski area is linked with Val d’Isère and is spread over 300 km of pistes at the peak of the season, from its highest point (the Grande Motte glacier – 3456 m) to its lowest point (Tignes les Brévières – 1550 m).
In winter, adrenaline fans head towards the ice-diving site, the Bun J Ride platform or the «Pala’fou» sledging course; lovers of wide-open spaces discover Tignes from the sky with a paragliding or microlight session, while the youngsters let themselves be charmed by a dog sledding ride or a bungee-trampolining session.
In summer: MTB, golf and tennis for the parents; hot-jumping, beach-volleyball and stand-up paddle for teenagers; archery, pedal-boat and trampolining for children… or a generalised challenge for the whole family! All of this is free thanks to the « My Tignes » activity card!
It was the first National Park in France (1963) and is a paradise for lovers of outdoors sports in both winter and summer.
Its highest and most iconic summit is without doubt the Grande Casse (3,855m). Along with its neighbour, the Grand Motte,
it creates a landscape that even the busiest cannot help but stop and admire!
An exceptional setting awaits ski touring fans of ski touring, combining frozen lakes, glaciers and legendary summits. Everyone will find pleasure in the heart of this unspoiled natural arena, whether by taking in the difference in altitude, getting the binoculars out to spot for chamois or ibex, without disturbing them or simply by enjoying a cheesy speciality in a refuge, that is accessible from the center of the resort as from the springtime.
Together, let's preserve this natural heritage for future generations.
To stay in tune with the times and to adapt to a changing usage (especially in recent years the trend of rounded shapes imposed by social networks), the Tignes logo is regularly updated. The latest? That of February 2020, which offers a refined and current version of the mythical silhouette of the Grande Motte in its blue sky without betraying the very essence of the logo to which all Tignaddicts are very attached.
Can you read the word "Tignes" in a 1 cm² logo? ... We neither !
