THE FAQ ON ENERGY ISSUES

Tignes is committed to an energy-saving approach that is compatible with improving the customer experience.

Adaptation, consultation, reactivity... Faced with the current context and aware of the sensitivity of customers related to energy issues (surveys conducted confirm this), the resort of Tignes is taking several actions to control its needs in this area, with a view to serenely welcoming holidaymakers this winter. We explain everything to you with answers to the questions asked and an overview of the various measures put in place.

HOW DOES THE RESORT REDUCE ITS ENERGY CONSUMPTION?

The objective is to save 10% of our electricity consumption throughout the resort. To achieve this, Tignes is reinforcing actions such as:

Good to know: the snow groomers run on HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) biofuel.

DOES THE RISE IN ENERGY PRICES HAVE AN IMPACT ON THE PRICE On SKI PASSES?

Last spring, the municipal councillors of Tignes and Val d'Isère voted on the prices of ski passes. In view of the sharp rise in energy prices and the renegotiation of contracts with suppliers, the two local authorities were forced to pass on PART OF this inflation to the ski passes and approved the new rates, which are valid for the entire winter season. The day pass is therefore €63.00, the same price as last winter, and the 6-day pass has increased slightly to €378.00. New this year: for a 6-day ski pass purchased, the 7th day is free (6=7). Tignes also offers the ski pass to children under 8 years old and children from 8 to 18 years old benefit from the reduced rate.
