A sporty morning
8.30am: enjoy a coffee or hot chocolate on the terrace, overlooking Tignes lake and the surrounding mountains, and start getting excited about this day that is off to a good start
9.30am: hike in the Vanoise National Park, mountain biking in the Bike Park of Tignes – Val d’Isère, golf on the highest 18-hole course in Europe... Exert yourself at a high-altitude without worrying about getting too hot! An alternative for the not-so-sporty: discover the Grande Motte glacier from the roof-terrace of the cable car at an altitude of 3000 m. A unique and educational experience to raise awareness about environmental protection.
12.30pm: enjoy a well-deserved picnic, with regional products of course (Beaufort, Persillé de Tignes, charcuterie, or even a crozets pasta salad if you’re really hungry). You’ll enjoy it even more thanks to the view of the surrounding peaks!
A very chilled afternoon
2.00pm: a little walk to digest around Tignes lake, along the path (2.5 km). Near the golf course, an obligatory Instagram story of the little cove with the Maldives-like waters
3.00pm: stop at the watersports centre for a pedalo, stand-up paddleboard or canoe/kayak session. Life is good! Looking for thrills? Try out the slides at Acroland to instantly cool down!
4.00pm: beach volley, slackline, boules, Mölkky… the “vamos a la playa” atmosphere continues all afternoon at the Plage des Sports
5.00pm: enjoy a live concert (DJ or local band) from a floating stage moving around the lake between the watersports centre and the fishermen’s chalet (twice a week in summer, see the entertainment programme)
Alternative in the event of a storm in the mountains: take refuge in Le Lagon aquatic centre and do a few lengths before relaxing in a jacuzzi, sauna or steam room in the wellness area.
A "proper” local evening
6pm: make the most of the last rays of sunshine on the terrace while enjoying a local beer and a cheese and charcuterie platter, while dreaming of dropping everything to come and live in Tignes
7.30pm: succumb to the rare pleasure of being able to eat a fondue or raclette in the middle of the summer!
