AUTUMN HOLIDAYS - Official communique

As you know, Tignes will be the only resort in France to offer glacier skiing during the autumn (“Toussaint”) holidays. As a result, a large number of skiers (ski clubs and individual skiers) are expected from Monday, 23rd October 2017.

With customer satisfaction being the key priority of the resort, Tignes is taking action to allow all pre-season skiers to enjoy the glacier in the best possible conditions.

Therefore, from Monday 23rd October, there will be three allocated time slots to access the glacier in order to spread out the number of skiers throughout the day:

  • 08:30 – 12:30 (time slot allocated to ski clubs first)
  • 10:00 – 14:00 (time slot strongly recommended for individual skiers)
  • 12:00 – 16:00 (time slot allocated for ski clubs and individual skiers)

The cost of a ski pass will be adapted accordingly from Monday 23rd October to Friday 3rd November:

  • €25/pers. (instead of €32) for individual clients (FLAT RATE)
  • €20/pers. (instead of €26) for ski clubs (FLAT RATE).

Different coloured wristbands will be handed out with each ski pass with each colour representing a different time slot (three colours per day), which will enable us to regulate and streamline access to the ski lifts.
Ski passes will be sold on a day-to-day basis.
The Grande Motte sales desk will be open during the afternoon in order to allow clubs that have booked a race lane for the first time slot on the following day, to purchase their ski passes and retrieve their coloured wristbands in advance.

USING THE SKI LIFTS

Ski clubs are requested to do their best to facilitate access to the glacier by entering the funicular in an orderly manner so that everyone can find their place quickly and benefit fully from the glacier.
Once on the glacier, priority lanes and queues must also be respected. Representatives will be on hand at the bottom of each lift.
We would ask that everyone respects the time slot they have been allocated and takes the funicular back down in a peaceful manner.
